it settles like a thick blanket.

It's been a beautiful day in Illinois, Chicago.
More state parks than I would have
ever dreamed of, just gushing with wild natural beauty.
I can't get over it.

Life has taken yet another unexpected turn, and I can't help but long for a life
evolving around simplicity and simplicity alone.
Just when I finally started grasping onto my current 'feats', yet another
whisped into my path.

Tomorrow, a busy day in the city.

week 26.

I am literally sprawled out on my comfy bed just watching my belly dance. It has this perfect spherical shape that is constantly interrupted with inner movement. Perfectly still, and then suddenly a random bulge here and there will break the natural alignment. It almost looks like little ripples in a vast ocean of glass. I feel like the Mummy, with all of those crazy little aliens crawling underneath his skin. Something is going on inside me, something I have absolutely NO control over.

I can just imagine her, setting camp. Re-aligning the walls of my skin with decorations and giggling to herself about what theme to embroider into my kidney. Haha the little termite is having herself a glitzy party inside my uterus and inviting all her friends, I swear!!

It is so strange to think that I have a little breathing porcelain doll developing inside me. I'm sure every Mom says this, but she looks so beautiful on the sonogram screen. Her facial silhouette is delicate and refined, with a perfect little pug nose to pair. Oh man. I already know everything in my world is going to drastically change the second she escapes my womb and into my arms.

I have had people mocking me for "celebrating this child's life". I have endured the scorn of those who couldn't bare the thought that I would post maternity photos, and in some way encourage little girls to go "get knocked up". There are those who think I should immediately give the baby up for adoption, no questions asked. And how could I dare even consider keeping her.

How lost are they!!! How hypocritical, naive, immature, and foolish are they? My heart aches for the hypocrisy found in religious people. And yet I am thankful for the few genuine jewels out there, and appreciate them even more when I find them.

I could go on for hours, but instead I'm gonna go watch my belly dance some more.

A tango, perhaps?
